  • Has already reached 763 mph—almost the Speed of Sound.

  • Originally conceived in 2008.

  • Crew is primarily British, including driver Andy Green, the current land-speed record holder.

  • Generates 135,000 horsepower, making it 180 times more powerful than a Formula 1 race car.

  • More than 110 man-years have been invested in the vehicle's design and manufacture.

  • Contains more than 3,500 parts—many of which were uniquely designed and made for this vehicle.

  • Approximately 40 feet long; weighs 16,500 pounds.
